ABOUT OUR CHURCH
At Harleyville Southern Methodist Church, we are a Christ-centered, family-focused community where everyone is welcome. Since 1972, we’ve grown from a small gathering of believers into a Spirit-filled church dedicated to worship, fellowship, and serving others. With ministries for all ages, there’s a place here for you to grow in faith, build lasting relationships, and experience the love of God.
OUR PASTOR
Rev. Shane Courson, an elder in the Southern Methodist Church, serves as the pastor of Harleyville Southern Methodist Church. A graduate of Southern Methodist College, he is passionate about preaching the Gospel, guiding the congregation, and serving the community. Shane and his wife, Shekhinah, are proud parents of three children—Shiloh, Sophia, and Silas—and together they enjoy nurturing a Christ-centered family life. With a heart for discipleship and a vision to see lives transformed by God’s Word, Rev. Courson strives to make the church a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to grow in faith.
